They need plenty of stimulation in the form of perches and parrot toys to chew and a good diet, low in sunflower. Feed only quality parrot food with a good seed mix and plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit, together with parrot supplements.

It is not easy to sex these cockatoos by the colour of the eyes as it is in some cockatoo species.
